On March 3, Siemens supplied the variable frequency power supply for ship shore power system engineering for Yantian International Container Terminal Co., Ltd. (Yantian International YICT) successfully passed the acceptance and was officially delivered. Two sets of new mobile shore power sources newly built in the Yantian International shore power ship project can provide shore power to ships of two berths at the same time, and can cover five berths to provide ship shore power supply facilities. Siemens provided variable frequency power cabinets, PLC (programmable control system) cabinets, switch cabinets and power distribution cabinets for the shore power system project. The shore-side power supply is transmitted to the ship after being converted by the variable frequency power supply, providing the ship with the operating power during the port and stopping the use of the ship's own fuel generator, thereby reducing the emission of atmospheric pollutants.
“Transportation is an important area for energy conservation and emission reduction. The implementation of shore power engineering projects is the only way for the development of green shipping.” Lin Bin, executive vice president of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. and general manager of Process Industry and Drives Group, said, “as the largest in the world. One of the resource-conserving technology providers, Siemens has comprehensive solutions for energy efficiency and energy saving, including a full range of shore power systems."
The shore power variable frequency power supply system provided by Siemens for Yantian International consists of two independent 4000KVA land mobile shore power frequency conversion power stations, which can be operated independently or in parallel to meet the technical requirements of the highest output of 8000KVA. Its core is Siemens Sinamics S120 series inverter hardware platform, special hardware and software design for shore power frequency conversion power supply application, the whole system can operate in four quadrants, modular structure is easy to expand, has good system openness and can realize ship and shore Side-by-side synchronization switching.
Siemens is able to provide a total solution for ship shore power. The variable frequency power supply system is provided by Siemens Factory Automation Engineering Co., Ltd. (SFAE) for overall design, supply, installation and commissioning up to delivery. Siemens is able to provide a complete solution for the shore power system from consulting, design to manufacturing execution. Siemens offers a full range of shore power systems with a power range from 500KVA to 20MVA for bulk terminals, container terminals and large cruise terminals.
With the development of society and economic progress, the economic model of saving energy and protecting the environment has become more and more important and popularized. China clearly proposes to promote the use of shore power by vessels on the basis of the 12th Five-Year Plan for Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction of Highway and Waterway Transportation. It is required that the new terminal must be equipped with a shore power system, the existing terminal should be actively transformed, and the ship should be used preferentially. Shore power and so on.
